The Rally KH-7 Costa Brava is Spain's oldest rally, and in 2027 it reaches its 75th edition. RallyClassics has announced 11-13 March 2027 in Girona, with the date still pending approval. The organiser calls it a very special anniversary edition with major surprises in the itinerary. Registration opens in early November 2026.
The anniversary poster pays tribute to the 1987 winners, Salvador Servià and Jordi Sabater, and to the Lancia Rally 037, one of the event's icons. Plans are under way for Servià to drive a VW Golf GTI like the one he won with forty years earlier.
The 2026 rally, the 74th edition, ran on 5-7 March. It was the first round of the European Historic Rally Championship season. Jari-Matti Latvala and co-driver Janni Hussi repeated their victory in a Toyota Celica ST185, setting the fastest time on 11 of the 12 timed stages. They won overall and in the Pre-1992 category of the European championship. After two wet days, the final leg ran on mostly dry asphalt. The organisers provided spectator zones, live broadcasts of several stages and public activities at the Fornells de la Selva service park.
For spectators this is a rare chance to see a historic rally of European standing on Catalan tarmac, with a modern rally champion driving a period car.
